Apple Spinach Green Smoothie

An Apple Spinach Green Smoothie is a perfect way to start a day or anytime for a snack.

2 cups of tightly packed spinach
1 cup of ice cold water
1 tbsp of ground flax seed
1 peeled & chunked apple
1 banana
1 scoop protein powder
1 cup of ice (optional)


In a blender, place the water and spinach (add in flax seed for more fiber right now if you want) and blend until smooth. I usually run it twice to get it nice and smooth. Add in the banana, cut up apple, and ice. Blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Serves 2.
